New Haven Pet Hospital
Anesthesia
Our team takes every precaution to keep your pet safe and comfortable during their surgical procedure.
Overview:
We understand how stressful it can be for you and your pet when veterinary surgery is needed. Most anesthetics are filtered through the liver and kidneys. Knowing what condition your pet’s body is in before surgery gives us the opportunity to adjust our anesthetic protocol so that we can tailor it specifically for your pet.
We want to ensure your pet receives the best possible outcome from the surgery, and our surgical protocol includes:
Pre-anesthetic blood testing
Pre-anesthetic electrocardiogram (ECG)
