Your Pet’s Surgical Appointment

We understand how stressful it can be for you and your pet when veterinary surgery is needed. Our team takes every precaution to keep your pet safe and comfortable during their surgical procedure. Most anesthetics are filtered through the liver and kidneys. Knowing what condition your pet’s body is in before surgery gives us the opportunity to adjust our anesthetic protocol so that we can tailor it specifically for your pet.

We want to ensure your pet receives the best possible outcome from the surgery, and our surgical protocol includes:

  • Comprehensive physical exam
  • Pre-anesthetic blood testing
  • Pre-anesthetic electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Digital x-rays or ultrasound
  • Careful monitoring of your pet during surgery and recovery
  • Advanced pain management techniques during surgery and recovery

When your pet is ready to go home, we will carefully review any post-operative care instructions with you until you are confident you can provide the necessary care. Our convenient onsite pharmacy can fill any necessary prescriptions, and we can offer advice on successfully administering them to your pet.
