Edward McKaig, DVM
Dr. McKaig is the owner of New Haven Pet Hospital and has provided care for area pets as a general practitioner since 1982. Dr. McKaig’s family moved to Fort Wayne from Michigan when he was 12 years old. Dr. McKaig graduated from Wayne High School and attended Purdue University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 1979. He continued on with his education at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. His professional interests include general medicine and surgery. He is a member and past president of Northeast Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. McKaig is married to Cindi, and they have four children, Kendra, Stephanie (Son-in-Law Brian), Alissa (Son-in-law Kyle) and Scott (daughter-in-law Adrianne). They also have 2 bulldogs Pib and Beans. Dr. McKaig spends his free time with his family, playing golf, reading and spending time with his grandchildren.
Elizabeth Patrick, DVM
Dr. Elizabeth Patrick has been caring for pets as an associate veterinarian at New Haven Pet Hospital since 2002. Originally from Knightstown, Dr. Patrick received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 1998 from Purdue University, and continued on at Purdue to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Her professional interests include ultrasonography and cardiology. She is a member and past president of Northeast Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Patrick has one dog and three cats in her family. In her spare time, Dr. Patrick likes to cook, go fishing and hiking with her family. Dr. Patrick is married, and they have 2 sons.
Dr. Gina Eisenhauer, DVM
Dr. Gina Eisenhauer is originally from Archbold, OH and attended the University of Findley graduating with a degree in biology and pre-vet. She realized her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian with acceptance into the veterinary school at The Ohio State University, earning her DVM in the spring of 2012. Dr. Eisenhauer and her husband enjoy biking, running and traveling in their spare time. They also recently adopted a dog, Walter, from the ACSPCA. Dr. Eisenhauer joined our team in June of 2012. Dr. Eisenhauer welcomed her first child in September 2017.
Dr. Kyle Krish, DVM
Dr. Kyle Krish started at New Haven Pet Hospital in July of 2012, returning to the area from Las Vegas. Dr. Krish and his wife met in high school and attended the University of Indianapolis. After graduating with a biology/chemistry degree he was welcomed into the veterinary school at Purdue. Upon graduation in 2011, Dr. Krish worked in a large veterinary practice in Las Vegas for one year and then accepted the opportunity to practice in New Haven. He and his wife have 2 sons and 2 daughters. Dr. Krish enjoys jogging with his mixed breed dogs Samson and Indy. He also enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling and spending time with family. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine and neurology. Dr. Krish is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Jenna Fausett, DVM
Dr Jenna Fausett was born and raised in Fort Wayne. She grew up with many pets and wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. Dr. Fausett attended Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012 receiving a Biology degree. She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2016. She has 2 dogs at home and is married. She enjoys hiking with the dogs, reading, sewing and painting in her spare time. Her professional interests are surgery and critical care.
Cindi joined our staff in 2009 after a long hiatus from the veterinary field to be home and raise four children. She enjoys interacting with clients, hearing their stories, and helping them provide excellent care for their pets. Outside the office Cindi enjoys hiking, reading, biking and traveling with her husband. Cindi is enjoying spoiling her grandchildren.
Ashley P., RVT and Office Manager has been employed with us since March of 2008. She received her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College in 2007. Her veterinary interests include anesthesia, radiology and patient care. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching her technical skills to those interested in pursing a career as a veterinary technician. Born and raised in the New Haven area, Ashley now resides in Fort Wayne with her husband, their 2 boys and daughter. They share their home with 2 four legged children, Maleiya (Pit Bull) and Kobe (Cat). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing softball and reading.
Angie, RVT, has been employed with us since 2004. She graduated from Purdue University Veterinary Technician Distance learning program in 2012. Her interests include Radiology and Behavior. You can usually hear her throughout the clinic with her contagious laughter, or using her inside voice. She was born and raised in Fort Wayne, but now is living in Peru, IN with her husband. They share their home with a french bulldog and 2 cats.
Sarah, RVT has been with New Haven Pet Hospital since December, 2010, bringing experience from a number of veterinary clinics in the Fort Wayne area. A graduate from Morehead State University, in Morehead, KY with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1997. Her veterinary interests include dentistry, patient care, laboratory testing and client education. Married, sharing their home with a dog Willow (greyhound) and 3 cats (Rugar, Eleanor and Mohawk). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and going on road rallies. Sarah also helps out a local pet rescue by being a foster parent.
Alyx, RVT has been with New Haven Pet Hospital since August of 2013, having received her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College in 2008. She loves surgery/ anesthesia and patient care. She is married to her junior high sweetheart. Alyx is the proud pet parent to a pair of cats and a dachshund. When not at work she is enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Shelby, RVT has been with us since 2014. During her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and singing karaoke. Shelby likes working for us because of the wonderful team atmosphere. Her favorite part of the job is being able to watch the patients grow and helping them feel better when sick. Some fun facts about Shelby include; She is married to her high school sweetheart, loves big fluffy dogs and lives in Ohio! You will also hardly ever see Shelby without a smile on her face. Shelby has 2 dogs and 2 cats. Shelby and her husband just welcomed their first child in May of 2017.
Amy joined New Haven Pet Hospital in August of 2004 as a receptionist. Amy is one of the many faces you will see once you enter the hospital. She enjoys meeting and building relationships with the owners as well as the pets. She has a degree in Culinary Arts and likes to bake and cook for her friends and family. Amy has a daughter and they share their home with two spoiled cats, Heloise and Carina. Amy likes to spend time at the lake, reading, fishing and shop at antique stores.
LeeAnne has blessed us with her service as a veterinary assistant since 2004. She enjoys keeping the work environment fun and
lively. Her favorite part of work is interacting with everyone's pets as they walk through the door and building meaningful relationships with their owners. LeeAnne loves spending time with her family outside of work. Her four legged family includes 2 cats: Billy and Mia. She loves riding ATVs and loves spoiling her grandchildren in her free time.
Heather is an assistant at the hospital and joined our team in 2005, as a junior in high school. In May of 2011 she graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Wildlife. She plans on using her knowledge gained from Purdue and New Haven Pet Hospital to hopefully run her own wildlife rehabilitation center and educate people on the impact they have on creatures both domestic and wild. Heather and her husband share their home with a miniature dachshund, a Lab and a cat. Heather enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, reading, hanging with friends and going to the lake. Her and her husband welcomed their first child in July 2017.
Teala has been with us since August of 2008. She has worked as a veterinary assistant at other clinics in the area since 2003. She has a degree from Ivy Tech State College in Medical Office Administration. Teala has a true love for animals and enjoys educating clients on the medical needs of their pets. When not at work she enjoys time with her husband and snuggling up with her kitties to watch a good movie. During the warm months she enjoys weekends at the lake.
Tanith started at the hospital in 2011. She previously worked for another clinic for 12 years. She holds a B.S.in biology and an A.S. in chemistry from Purdue. Tanith enjoys photography, reading and cooking. When not working, she spends her time with her husband and furkids: Heinz, Pacino and Twila, who are pit bulls, and cats Scooter, Lalo and Yoda.
Megan has been with the hospital since 2013 as a veterinary assistant. She has enjoyed spending time with animals since she was a child, pet sitting for family and friends whenever needed. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and cuddling with her dog Neyla (a lab). Megan also loves the outdoors. She welcomed her first child in September 2017.
Ashley joined our team in July 2016. Ashley enjoys meeting all of the clients and patients that walk in the door. She is a mother of one and has 2 dogs. When not at work, she loves to spend time with her husband and daughter. In the summer she enjoys being outdoors and camping.
Karli has been employed since July of 2016. She has previously worked in human medicine but has always dreamed of working with animals. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves meeting all the dogs and cats that come into work.
Olympia started working at New Haven Pet Hospital in August 2016. She enjoys her job very much. Currently, she attends college at IPFW and is working towards a biology degree. Olympia isn't sure what she wants to do with her degree, but knows it will involve working with animals. She loves how rewarding this job is. Olympia loves to spend time outdoors when not at work.
Bio to come
Julia is a kennel attendant who has been with us since August 2014. She was born in Germany and raised in New Haven and California (her father was in the military). Julia enjoys meeting and taking care of the animals. When not at work you can find her reading a Stephen King book or watching the newest horror flick. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.
Nikki, Kennel Attendent, has been with New Haven Pet Hospital since September of 2015. She loves to make the pets feel welcome and happy while staying with us. Her and her future husband have twin boys and 2 cats and 1 a dog at home. She is an active member of the Adrian Empire/ Somerset, a renaissance re-enactment group where she participates in archery, sewing, cooking and weaving. She also is an avid reader.
Jacqueline has been working at New Haven Pet Hospital for over a year now in kennels and loves every minute of it! She is currently studying Biology at IPFW. She is owned by a beautiful 90 lb. Goldendoodle. She likes to either cook or play the trumpet as hobbies.
She has learned a lot at her job so far and hopes to continue to do so. What's better than puppies and kittens at work!?
Kaylee is a total animal lover so working in the kennels and as a pet sitter is never work, it’s her passion. Walking into the kennel and seeing all of the dogs and cats so excited to see her warms her heart! She shows, raises and trains boxers along side her mother.
Amy joined our team in the fall of 2012. She loves working with our clients and their pets. She has a very gentle touch and specializes in geriatric and difficult pets. Amy is certified in animal CPR. Amy got her training from Texas All Breed Grooming School and is certified to groom all breeds of both dogs and cats. In her spare time she volunteers for S.C.A.R (Second Chance Animal Rescue). Her animal companions include 3 rescue dogs. Amy is the proud mother of one son.
